About Glen Waverley Osteopathy
Have you ever woken up one day with a sore back and realised months later that it has never actually gone away? You are not alone! Statistically almost 1 in 2 people will experience lower back pain in their life, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with it. Osteopaths are more than qualified to assess, treat and manage the source of your back pain and ensure that your normal activities are not impacted.
OSTEOPATH
Luis Goldbaum
Hi there, I’m Luis and I am the head Osteopath here at Glen Waverley Osteopathy. Ever since I was a kid, I have always been drawn to the healthcare industry, with a strong desire to help those in need. I chose a career in Osteopathy because I loved the hands on approach and the idea that each part of the human body is all connected as one.
I graduated from Victoria University in 2018 with a masters degree in Osteopathy. During my time, I was able to pick up valuable skills in my clinical training. I was successfully granted a scholarship to attend a 4 week intensive Osteopathic and rehab placement in Mumbai, India. There I worked at a specialised sports and orthopaedic clinic focusing on post-surgical rehab, as well as applying my skills to the wider community which was incredibly rewarding. I was also successful in partaking in an exchange program at the British School of Osteopathy, which is one of the oldest Osteopathy schools in the world. I was fortunate enough to be able to learn from some elite and world renowned Osteopaths there.
I love getting to know you, your families and working with you to achieve your treatment goals, whether that be waking up pain free, getting back to the gym or picking up your grandkids with ease. You will always get my 100% attention and devotion as I believe in quality over quantity.
Outside of work you’ll find me trying my hand at yoga, enjoying the sunshine (at least trying to in Melbourne) and planning my next adventure holiday. I’m also fortunate enough to be able to run a number of medical and wellness businesses which certainly have their own set of challenges and learning curves.
So don’t be stranger. If you feel like you could benefit from an Osteopathic treatment, I’m here to make that happen.
